Travel Vaccination Training course
Travel Vaccination Training for Pharmacists
This course is provided in 4 parts. Part 1 must be completed first. Parts 2,3, and 4 can be completed independently.
Part 1 & Part 2 are provided as a full day work shop on the same day. This will enable pharmacists to deliver a meningitis vaccination service. Parts 3 and 4 are provided as stand alone half-day workshops.

Travel Vaccination PART 1: Injection technique, anaphylaxis, basic life support
Travel Vaccination training Part 2: Meningitis vaccination + service set up from a community pharmacy + template PGD
Travel Vaccination training Part 3: Hepatitis A&B and Typhoid vaccination + service set up from a community pharmacy + template PGD
Travel Vaccination training Part 4: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Rabies, Cholera, Service setup + template PGDs

Template PGD
Each course will include a template Patient Group Direction (PGD) and Patient Specific Direction (PSD). These PGDs and PSDs can be used to provide a private service to clients in the pharmacy. Please note the templates must be signed by authorised persons in order to be legally valid
Signed PGD for service delivery
We are currently undergoing an exercise to be able to provide pharmacists with a signed Patient Group Direction PGD. This will be available soon for a nominal monthly subscription (the cost of the subscription will be announced on this website). The signed PGD allows pharmacists who undertake our training courses to legally provide a private vaccination service to their clients.
