Pharmacy NVQ Level 2 Course

As part of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) requirements, all staff working in a pharmacy must be qualified to NVQ level 2 standards in pharmacy services. This course is suitable for you if you have just started your trainee post and if you are developing your skills to take on a range of duties in the pharmacy.
Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF)

This course will provide you with a NVQ Level 2 City & Guilds qualification. It requires you to demonstrate your competence, knowledge and understanding of Pharmacy services. Following successful completion of the course candidates will receive a City & Guilds Certificate.

Candidates must complete 3 mandatory units and a minimum of 4 optional units for this qualification

Learning & Assessment:
You will be assessed in your workplace, so you need to have a job or trainee post within a dispensary setting. You will be required to write activity reports with witness testimony. Other assessment methods include professional discussions and workbook exercises.

Course length: 12 months (flexible start dates)

Study time: 10-15 hours for each unit
