Dispensing Doctor NVQ Level 2 Courses

As part of the Dispensing Services Quality Scheme (DSQS), all staff working in the dispensary at a dispensing doctors surgery must be qualified to NVQ level 2 standard or equivalent in pharmacy services. There are two options for NVQ Level 2 training which meet DSQS criteria.

Option 1 - Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills. This provides a Nationally recognised City & Guilds qualification (click here for more information)

Option 2 - Level 2 NVQ Equivalent Course in Pharmacy Services. This is less expensive and provides an NVQ Level 2 equivalent certificate (click here for more information)

These courses are suitable for you if you have just started your trainee post and if you are developing your skills to take on a range of duties in the dispensary.
Dispensing Doctor NVQ Level 3 Course

Dispensing doctors’ dispensers can now be trained to Level 3 in their workplace following a revision of pharmacy qualifications.

DD&P Training Services Ltd can offer dispensary staff two new Level 3 qualifications accredited by City and Guilds. We provide these qualifications together as a nationally recognised Level 3 training programme:

1.Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science (QCF) - the knowledge based qualification

2.Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) (formerly the NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services) - the competence based qualification
