An introductory course for people who are interested in working in a pharmacy. It can also be used as an induction course for new staff.

This course provides the essential information and knowledge required to work in a community pharmacy.

The course is set out in an easy to digest format with exercises throughout to aid learning.

* Pharmacy regulations and the law
* A detailed look at retail pharmacy
* Health and safety principles in a dispensing environment
* Working on the medicines counter
* A guide to the different classes of medicines
* An introduction to prescriptions and NHS exemptions
* An introduction to standard operating procedures
* Working in the dispensary & an introduction to being a dispenser
* basics of assembling prescribed items
* An introduction to the controlled drugs regulations

When you complete the online assessment satisfactorily you will be awarded with a certificate to show your achievement
